About

Bride's Head Revisited was founded in 2002 by Emily Martin and Alexandra Augustine when they were working together at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. With their art and design backgrounds, and their experiences in the fashion world, they inevitably found themselves called upon to design their friends' veils and accessories. They soon discovered that the old iron-clad rules of wedding behavior and attire had become as out-dated as the boned corset. Instead, they noticed that brides were combining traditions that were important to them with new ideas that spoke to their lives and relationships.

Inspired, Emily and Alex decided to combine their love of history and contemporary design into creating Bride's Head Revisited. Their designs of distinctive couture quality bridal accessories capture the individuality of each bride and reflect the importance of her special day. Whether a bride wears layers of white satin with a cathedral veil trailing behind her, or a slinky silk gown with an elegant cocktail hat perched on her head, she is defined by the small details that make her a bride. Bride's Head Revisited believes that these details of the bridal trousseau deserve the highest level of special care and quality.
