One of our lovely brides, Keren, sent us these gorgeous photos from her wedding, taken by Anthony Cava at Photolux Studio. She is wearing the Bride’s Head Revisited “Emma” veil, a sheer cathedral length veil that has an elegant cut that complements her gown beautifully.

I love her elegant but soft half-up hairstyle. The veil is placed right where her hair is swept back and it creates an elegant sweep to her profile.

July 4th is right around the corner, and that means that the season for outdoor weddings is here.  Whether on the beach, in the country, or on a vineyard, the great outdoors can provide a lovely backdrop for a wedding. Brides often adopt a more relaxed style to their hair and accessories to complement the natural surroundings and the spring/summer bridal magazines have been featuring some great ideas for hair styles using Bride’s Head Revisited combs.

 In the Spring/Summer 2010 regional issue of The Knot, the  bride is featured wearing a Bride’s Head Revisited crystal comb, #214a, in her long hair. It’s the perfect accent to her style and dress. Relaxed, festive and elegant.

A soft updo with a silk flower nestled into the side of the chignon is another beautiful style for a summer wedding. In the Spring/Summer issue of Town and Country Weddings, the bride is wearing our popular silk and feather hairpins, #522,  tucked into her updo.

Or, the grown-up ponytail. In the Summer 2010 issue of The Knot, the bride is wearing our petal and feather comb, #302 with her hair swept back and to the side. This is a wonderful style that dresses up the usually everyday ponytail.

It’s important that you feel beautiful and comfortable on your wedding day. If your wedding will be outdoors in possibly hot and humid weather, consider hairstyles that will weather the day - as it were. Keep it simple, elegant and relaxed. A beautiful silk flower or crystal comb can go a long way to dress up any hairstyle.

My good friend Delica got married in April and I was honored that she chose to wear  a Bride’s Head Revisited veil and flower. It was a beautiful wedding performed at a charming church in New Jersey and the photographer Melissa Blemur did a wonderful job of capturing the day.

Delica chose the “Emily” veil with our silk gardenia hairclip to accent her gorgeous hair. The style went beautifully with her gown designed by Kimera, a Brooklyn dress designer.

After the ceremony, Delica took off her veil and wore just the flower tucked in her hair, behind her ear - an elegant and stylish bridal look.

In April, Bride’s Head Revisited visited Blue Bridal Boutique in Denver, Colorado for a Bride’s Head Roadshow weekend.
